Sami composes for a wide range of ensembles including choirs, orchestras, string quartets, and wind ensembles. Sami’s work is deeply emotional and infectiously rhythmic, inspired by both non-traditional ensemble groupings and popular music. His recent projects explore composing for South American instruments, experimenting with live electronics, and developing pieces through improvised vocal looping.
